To the Students of UND,

Welcome to UND and Wittenberg Lutheran Chapel!

You are at the University of North Dakota to grow in knowledge and experience, to help prepare you for your vocation in our society. We're glad you're here, and hope your year goes well.

Wittenberg Lutheran Chapel is here to help you in your growing process. We believe that growing as a person should include the spiritual, as well as the academic areas of life.

At Wittenberg, we share the love and caring of Jesus Christ, the Son of God with you through Worship, Bible studies, and our activities. We believe that God is for us in every way through His Son, Jesus Christ. God is for us in forgiveness, justification, and adoption; because of the substitutionary work of Jesus Christ, because of His life, suffering and death, and resurrection for us.

There is a key text in Saint Paul for this assertion: "What then shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" (Romans 8:31,32)

We want to invite you to learn more about this with us. Learn how we are freed from all evil; freed from worry and care; freed to have worth and dignity; freed to love others; freed from our view of work; freed to enjoy God's gifts. All this freedom flows from faith in Jesus Christ. The risen Lord Jesus comes to us in His Divine Service(Sundays at 10:30 a.m.) and offers us forgiveness, life and salvation through His Word and Sacrament.

I want to invite you to come to Wittenberg and join us in this growth process! Because of Jesus Christ, we are truly ALIVE, not just living! Rejoice with us in Christ!
